The winner of the Mercedes-Benz Design Award 2018 was announced at the awards night at Cult Design showroom in Sydney.
2018 saw a record number of entries vying for the title of the Mercedes-Benz Design Award. It was Sydney based designer Zachary Hanna who wowed the judges with his unique and sustainable design 'Stack'.
Zach's piece will now be manufactured and sold by industry-leading retailer Cult Design. He will also recieve mentorship from Cult's founder and director Richard Munao, as well as the other judges of the award: Mercedes-Benz senior manager of product and strategy André Dutkowski, interior designer Adele Winteredge, Broadsheet editorial director Katya Wachtel and last year's winner Tom Fereday.
